After years of extensive redevelopments, refurbishments and rumours, Battersea Power Station – a true London landmark – is finally open again. Needless to say, it took no time at all for tourists and Londoners alike to rush there in their hordes and see what delights now live within its walls. There was little disappointment, with a impressive line-up of luxury boutiques, a whole host of interactive experiences, delicious dining options (including an all-you-can-eat pizzeria fronted by Gordon Ramsay), and even a panoramic observation lift that emerges from one of the station’s gargantuan chimneys.

You’re also lucky enough to have Battersea Park (one of London’s best-loved and most popular) on your door step; this beautiful green space on the Thames is also home to Battersea Park Zoo, a Go Ape, a thrilling Putt in the Park, and several cafés.

Slightly further afield, if you take a scenic stroll across Chelsea Bridge you can walk to the oh-so-fashionable area of the same name in ten minutes, and if you follow the river east you’ll get to Westminster Palace, the London Eye and trendy South Bank within 30 minutes.
